Symbolism

I think that a bone would be symbol that would be very fit very well for the book entitled The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. This would be an appropriate symbol for this book not only because it is included in the book's title but also because Mr. Harvey is a very strange man. He is a murderer and a creepy person. He would kill animals such as dogs, cats, other household pets, and worst of all, humans. He kept the bones of the animals he killed in his basement and saved them. When he killed the girls and women, he would often cut all of their body up and just leave their elbow behind. That is why i think a bone would be an appropriate symbol.
